GitHub and OpenAI have jointly launched GPT-5.3-Codex as the first Long-Term Support (LTS) model for GitHub Copilot, guaranteeing API and behavior stability for a full 12 months from launch. This is a direct response to enterprise customers who need predictability when building AI-assisted CI/CD pipelines and coding agents. Teams on Business and Enterprise plans can now pin to this model without worrying about unexpected model swaps.
