Grok Imagine Pro Mode With 1080P Image and Video Coming Late April
Elon Musk has confirmed that Grok Imagine Pro mode—delivering full 1080P resolution for both images and video generation—will launch later this month. The announcement came alongside the release of a new Quality mode that users are already putting through its paces, producing noticeably sharper outputs compared to the standard Speed mode. Musk highlighted the model's improved ability to interpret and refine prompts, noting that better prompts translate directly to higher-quality visual results. The Pro tier will compete directly with premium AI video tools like Midjourney Video and OpenAI's Sora, offering a step-change in resolution that smaller AI image generators have struggled to match.
The timing is notable: xAI recently delayed Grok Imagine 2.0 by a few weeks, citing the need for additional refinement.
