Claude Code 2.1.191 Fixes the Background-Agent Zombie Problem

Claude Code 2.1.191 Fixes the Background-Agent Zombie Problem

Claude Code 2.1.191 is a patch release, but the lead fix deserves a much louder headline: stopped background agents no longer resurrect. That is the kind of sentence that sounds funny until you remember that background agents are not browser tabs. They are delegated coding sessions with tools,

Codex Alpha 15 Removes the Escape Hatch From Agent Context Management

Codex Alpha 15 Removes the Escape Hatch From Agent Context Management

Codex 0.143.0-alpha.15 is the kind of release that looks dry until you ask what would break without it. Automatic compaction is no longer optional. Inter-agent messages are persisted as response items. Remote skill discovery moves to a bounded filesystem walk RPC. Executor plugin paths stay URI-native until

Claude Code Dynamic Workflows Need Token Admission Control, Not a Concurrency Dial

Claude Code Dynamic Workflows Need Token Admission Control, Not a Concurrency Dial

Claude Code’s Dynamic Workflows problem is not that users can start too many agents. It is that “too many” is being measured in the wrong unit. A concurrency cap sounds like a control. It is not a budget. Fifteen workers that each grep one small file are cheap. Fifteen

Subagents That Finish Silently Are a Product Bug, Not a UX Quirk

Subagents That Finish Silently Are a Product Bug, Not a UX Quirk

The most damaging bug in a multi-agent system is not always the one where the worker fails. Sometimes the worker finishes, the parent synthesizes the answer, the transcript contains the output, and the human still gets nothing. That is the failure mode in OpenClaw issue #96105, and it is exactly

Claude Code Agent Teams Losing Grep and Glob Is a Reminder That Tool Rosters Are Runtime State

An agent that loses Grep and Glob has not just misplaced two convenience tools. It has changed how it thinks, how much it spends, and which safety boundary it reaches for when it needs to inspect a codebase. A fresh Claude Code bug report says enabling CLAUDE_CODE_EXPERIMENTAL_AGENT_

Claude Code’s 98-Agent Research Blowup Is the Cost-Control Story in One Absurd Repro

Claude Code’s 98-Agent Research Blowup Is the Cost-Control Story in One Absurd Repro

“Deep research” sounds responsible until it sends 98 agents to answer a keyboard LED question. Then it sounds like a scheduler without a governor. A new Claude Code enhancement request filed on June 23 reports that the deep-research workflow fanned out into 98 parallel agents for a simple Linux configuration
